This is another painting I did recently. It depicts the burning ardor of the soul of a man set on fire for God. The darkness and grey tones around him are meant to symbolize the emptiness and vanity of a life outside of the love and faith of Christ. And the glow in his eyes originates in his heart, for it is within the heart that the work of God is done.
And of course no warrior would be complete without his sword, which is the Word of God and its quickening flame.
I really like how this one came out; it was one of those things that just suddenly popped into my head one day, and there it was. Loads of fun to paint it! :)
