The spoken Word of God: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death

The communion is the ethical social order, as God wants men to live. In communion, the other, our neighbor is our brother, because in communion we are all children of God.
It is of the utmost importance in this coexistence that the brothers give each other encouragement and know-how to correct themselves when someone deviates from the path, the apostle James warns us:
"My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.", James 5:19-20.

Life and death in the bible are retributions: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life" Galatians 6:7-8.
The way of truth (precision and accuracy) has a retribution, and that retribution is the worship of wisdom, the eternal life. The opposite of the way of truth is the path of error. The retribution of the error is destruction: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.", Romans 6:23.
This is why the apostle James insists on the importance of listening and living the word of God, the path of truth: "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.", James 1:22-25.
The path of error is fundamentally a path of suffering for oneself and for others, that is why the correction first of oneself and then of our neighbor is so important for life in common (communion), the path of wisdom is the way of truth.
