The error of fools: The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale. Proverbs 18:11

The Book of Proverbs, written by King Solomon, teaches to men the importance of the blessed life, the beautiful, sensible, and happy life.
But to be blessed man must recognize the primacy of wisdom above all things, because as the Book of Proverbs teaches: "Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold" Proverbs 3:13-14.
Wisdom is a gift from above that edifies the life of man, and the man who seeks and acquires it obtains the common sense and the assertiveness in decisions, that's why with wisdom comes peace and security: "But whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm" Proverbs 1:33.
But wisdom also implies something more, the man who seeks wisdom must avoid the error of fools, the sensible man should not put his trust in apparent goods, that is, in riches. Riches are a deceptive good, and just as money can elevate a man, it can also ruin him.
And the Bible gives us many examples about this issue. The Book of Daniel tells us that Balthazar, son of King Nebuchadnezzar, had a vision and ordered Daniel to interpret it, the same day that Balthazar received Daniel's explanation he also found his own death, his empire had fallen into the hands of the Persians. Balthasar lived with arrogance, and about this type of people the Bible tells us wisely: "The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale" Proverbs 18:11.
Folly and wisdom are in opposition in the Bible, and is in the truly intelligent men the ability to discern properly and choose the right path, avoiding errors.
