COMMENTS
Both GFS (American model) and ECMWF (European model) are converging toward a snowstorm scenario for Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday next week
The storm will be generated from a clash between warm moist air from the Gulf of Mexico, meeting a cold and dry air from Canada
As this is a forecast beyond 1 week there is a relatively high degree of uncertainty
- Chance of having a storm during that time frame : very high
- Chance of having a storm bringing substential amount of snow : high
- Chance of having a storm bringing major amount of snow (above a foot) : moderate
- Chance of having snow in NYC : moderate
As the 2 scenarios can show, there is still uncertainty on the path of the storm
