This is my FIRST post on Steemit. Hopefully there will be more posts in the future, because I'm a newbie in this web 3.0 social media platform.
I knew about Steemit after reading this article:

I think Web 3.0 has amazing concept and will be the future of the internet.
In Web 1.0, people has the chance to access any kind of information anytime and anywhere as long as there's internet connection, since 1989.
Around 2004, the internet evolved to Web 2.0, where people not only "consume" information, but also provide and share information. This is the beginning of social media, marketplace, etc. At this phase, internet become the real media for transferring information, because anyone can become the media.
After that, around 2009, Blockchain technology found its first usecase with the presence of the first cryptocurrency, Bitcoin. Some said that this was the beginning of Web 3.0. With Bitcoin, people can send and receive money peer to peer, without intermediary such as bank of other financial institution. With Web 3.0, internet become the media for transferring value.
Although Web 3.0 is not yet widely adapted, I believe the idea of having freedom of storing information and value & freedom of transaction can greatly change the way people use internet and give opportunity to more people around the world to improve their economy, because they can exchange value directly.
