Inspired by the Wednesday Walk of @tattoodjay
Hello dear friends of the Wednesday walk,
Since Thursday of last week, I'm a little sick. A general weakness, headache, joint and bone pain, kept me a great part of these last days in bed. It is a flu that is in the environment and has affected many of my countrymen. So, this time I could not do the walk for this post.
However, I thought, but I can relive a previous experience, based on this season. I did a review among my photographic archives and I think I found the right photos, trying to adhere as much as possible to the recommendations of @Tattoodjay.
The photographs of the experience were approximately eight years ago, to be exact on Thursday, January 12, 2012. Almost a Wednesday.
I think that we, who live near the equator, are fortunate to maintain a climate without many extremes. Generally determined by altitude and proximity to water sources as appropriate.
The months of December and January are usually quite cool in this region of the world, and perhaps because they are in the tropics, people are exposed to more virus attacks. However, in my country one of the most desertically beautiful places is close to the Isthmus of a peninsula: Los Médanos de Coro National Park.
My wife and I, when we were heading to the city of Punto Fijo from Coro, we parked the car bound by the beauty of the landscape and walked a long time through the sands that move slowly and permanently.
Christmas with its motives, songs and lights are very striking, but for me, there is nothing comparable with the tranquility and peace that you have in places like the dunes of Coro. Sure, an oasis is an oasis. Life among desolation is a miracle of God.

Esas imagenes me hicieron recordar a las grandes dunas del desierto de Ica en Perú, con su oasis en medio llamada huacachina. No entendí bien, dónde queda ese desierto de Coro, en Ecuador?

Si seguramente son muy parecidas. Esas dunas no están en Ecuador, están en Venezuela en el estado Falcón. Disculpa, la referencia del Ecuador se refiere al paralelo 0 y no a ese hermoso país.
