Caught in the Rain

#WednesdayWalk is a challenge started by @tattoodjay, The idea is to get out for a short walk, and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start.

It was beautiful weather when I started out on my walk - a bit cloudy, but that's normal here in the Tropics.

These are government housing flats. About 80 percent of Singaporeans live in these housing flats. There are some for rental, but most are sold to the citizens for 99 years.

It got very cloudy and the clouds were getting darker by the minute.

This is the end point of my walk. This is where I turn around on my walks.

This was what I saw when I turned around. See how quickly the sky turned. I knew then that I was not going to make it back in time. Still, I quickened my steps, hoping to make it back home before it rains.

No such luck. It started to rain when I was a quarter of the way from home. Luckily, there was shelter under the flyover of an expressway.

There were some construction work going on beside the fly over. Quite a scene here. There was rain, dark clouds, and there was the sun. And as if to show that all is well, there was a rainbow.

Luckily, it was a passing shower. It lasted about 15 minutes, and I was on my way home.

When you are waiting for the rain to stop, what do you do? Take a video of the rain of course.

I remember those downpours there, they could come so quickly but often also leave so quickly, apart from getting caught in the rain looks like a great walk

From this week I have moved the Wednesday Walk to Hive, I decided its easier to just run it on one platform, so there is no longer nay give aways of Steem

Yes, these tropical showers come and go very quickly.

Okay, I have noted your move to Hive. I think I will just take out the Wednesdaywalk tag and heading, and repeat the post on Steem - if it is okay with you. If you rather I not do that, then I won't repost on Steem.

II am just saying what I am doing, I do not have a problem with you posting it on Steemit with he tag and I will still visit it, but only the payout will be from and with Hive :)

I just love those shower bursts. Not. :) Of course, the rain is probably a little bit warmer where you're at. Here, it's just cold, and if it's windy, colder.

Yes, the rain is warmer here in the tropics. I used to jog in the rain. Rather nice. :-)
