OMG! Lucky you!!! Your photos of those beauties are amazing Melinda! I would have been in butterfly heaven. The 5th photo clearly shows the proboscis and I am so happy that your flowers were able to give all of them a nice refreshing drink. Thanks so much for sharing your great experience with the Red Admirals and thanks for using #butterfly tag! : )

There must have been 50 of them. I wondered if they were all from the same batch of eggs and were just coming out of their cocoons. Some of them had very dusty wings that got more colorful after a few minutes. It was an amazing sight to see!

OMG! 50? It does sound like they were all from the same batch and just coming out of their cocoons. They all look fresh. Amazing!

To be honest I would have bene very disappointed if you had ignore the butterflies and gone for a walk elsewhere i love all those shots and of course the cool and colorful butterflies

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :)

It is a good thing my back yard is so secluded because I was still in my pajamas when I was out taking these!

That is a bonus of a secluded back yard living in a condo complex I would get strange looks from my neighbours if I was out side in my PJs LOL

I did see a squirrel looking at me funny!

Squirrels can be like that :)

Wow!!! Amazing Melinda! That was a very short walk thou, lol. I absolutely adore that close up. That is superb. Great job capturing them all so well 🦋😊🦋

What I lost in distance I made up for in time! I didn't go far, but I spent more than 5 minutes on my 'walk' so it balances out!

That's for sure, lol

What an amazing experience! I'm glad you got to take so many pictures. I've never seen one of those; maybe we don't have them out here.

And you probably have some that we never see! It sure made my morning magical to see them!

Buenas tardes amiga deseo que se encuentre bien. Está muy linda esa mariposa . Que tenga una feliz tarde

¡Gracias mi amigo! ¿Espero que lo estés haciendo bien?

The extraordinary beauty of this butterfly, beautiful and sweet @melinda010100

It was fun to see so many all in one place!

Beautiful butterflies, but really love these little flowers

We got some rain and many of the flowers are falling. I wish they lasted longer.

It would be wonderful if they lasted a little longer. They are so beautiful

Lovely :) Cheers :)

Oh gosh! Magical !!!!! What a beautiful post with absolutely gorgeous photographs of so many butterflies * ___ * I love it !!! The colours on their wings are amazing, and I love the close up shows of the red admiral very much !!! <3 <3 <3

You always make such great comments. Thank you! It was magical to see so many at one time!

such cool looking butterflies, quite the variety.

All the same kind... Just so many of them!

@melinda010100 oh gotcha.. one had red and the other had orange but I guess shadows can make them look different.

I think some were newly out of their cocoons. Some had really dusty looking wings. It made me wonder if the colors changed as their wings dried.

I love this butterfly

They were wonderful to see!

I imagine. They are so beautiful

First the birds and now the butterflies. Nature loves you and you got some amazing captures as well. The subtle beauty of the lilac and more flashy beauty of the butterfly were a great combination. Brava:)

Hello, @melinda010100. I imagine how beautiful those butterflies looked on the white lilac.

How could you walk away from that what a joy that would have been they are so beautiful :)

It was pretty incredible! There were still a few hanging around when my daughter stopped by, but after a good meal they all went on their seperate ways and I haven't seen one since!

That would have been amazing to see you know it would have made a great video for Dtube :)

I thought about a video but my videos suck unless I'm using a tripod and there was nowhere to set one up that would have captured it well.

You captured the butterflies so beautifully. Glad that you had the walked and now showed us all the beauties. ❤️

Thanks! It was a beautiful sight to see! And thanks for the curation, too! 😘

These are all gorgeous photos of the wonderful subjects, the Japanese Lilac is the only one they were attracted to?

I'm suspecting that the eggs must have been laid on or near the lilac and that they were newly out of their cocoons. They had their first meal and then went on their merry way.

That's amazing and you had perfect timing to catch them!

Wow! These butterflies are so beautiful @melinda010100 I can just imagine the fun you had capturing them. The colour and detail in your photos is exquisite. (U & R)

Thanks! It was an amazing sight to see!
