Whenever cannabis markets have been unveiled in different regions we have seen numerous lines wrapping around various dispensaries, signaling a clear thriving demand for all things cannabis in countless cities and jurisdictions.
In Chicago, it's no different, where lines for legal cannabis wrapped around dispensaries in Chicago recently as they launched their legal market.
City officials have been busy visiting different places of business to make sure they are following all of the random edicts that they've put into place.
In various places that have unveiled legalization they've seen numerous problems come about, from a shortage of supply to too much supply, problems with payment options (cash only etc), quality issues, packaging issues, recalls, high prices, but overwhelmingly people have been demonstrating support all around the U.S. and elsewhere.
Billions of dollars has been coming in annually from these markets, but there are still people being unjustly caged over cannabis and arrested for victimless cannabis crimes.
Support for cannabis today is said to be at an all-time high, with surveys indicating that two-thirds of Americans or more are ready to support an end to the war against marijuana.
One ridiculous stipulation for Chicago with this new market, is that the state is requiring businesses record medicinal cannabis sales separate from recreational cannabis sales, which they say has been slowing down business overall and lengthening transaction times as a result.
As with any legal market there are always a myriad of nonsensical restrictions that still get peppered in, in what often is marketed and embraced as a newfound freedom, it is usually a conveniently packaged lie.
There are still many highly restrictive cannabis rules in place for Chicago and other regions that have similarly welcomed cannabis markets. But their goal isn't to preserve the liberty of the individuals operating within the market, it's to gain control over the market and they are doing a fine job of extending their grip throughout the industry.
Why it took until the year 2020 for such ridiculous laws are finally ending, arresting people, jail time over a plant.
