Weekend Recap
This weekend had some good points and rougher points.
On Saturday, we actually had a garage sale where we put up some signs around the area and lured people to buy our junk. Most of the stuff we were trying to get rid of was quite good and high quality, but if we have not been using something and have limited space, then it was time to get rid of it. We sold a few bigger ticket items online ahead of time, but then sold the remaining items at the garage sale.
The buyer traffic was mostly early on Saturday morning, so when it had died down, Jacob came out and hung out with me and played in the planter while I was wheeling and dealing. Here he is hanging out:
Kendra has been quite sick lately and has a terrible hacking cough and running nose, so we stayed around the house mostly on Sunday. I will spare the details, but the illness has made bowel movements a mess and diapers have not been able to contain it a few times, so lots of cleanup was the low point of the weekend. However, Jacob and I snuck away for a couple of hours on Sunday and hit the local swap meet. We didn’t do much spending, but Jacob got a couple of play cars, I picked up some cap refills for the cap gun, and I bought a used jig saw for $10. It was fun to look around. I also caught a little football and auto racing since we were around the house, so that was nice.
Overall, it was a good weekend but I am sad it is already over! This week is the Thanksgiving holiday here in the US, so it is a short work week with Thursday and Friday off.
