I.Community
The Twitter engagement level has maintained a stable growth.The engagement in the Telegram group is stable as well.
The number of Telegram members grew to 23,101.The number of Twitter followers is at 6155.
II.Latest Additions to Our Engineering Team
We are honored to add two more software engineers in MultiVAC team.
Studying for a Master in Computer Science at Tianjin University and European Institute of Technology.Bachelor of Computer Science and Innovation from European Institute of Technology.
Graduated with a B.S. degree in Mathematical and Computational Science in Stanford University. He grew up in Nanjing, China and Honolulu, HI and is the record holder for the USA Mathematical Olympiad in Hawaii.
III.Marketing progress
I.MultiVAC CTO Shawn Ying attended Amazing CXO co-hosted by DoraHacks and Odaily.He discussed about the transmission problem of blockchains and shared some practical data.He proposed that the bottleneck of the future blockchain is not in the transaction but in the transmission.
Ⅱ.MultiVAC CMO Claire attended JRR Eco Alliance Party.JRR Crypto is the world’s leading blockchain industry group specialised in blockchain industry ecology and encrypted digital currency.As one of the JRR Crypto’s portfolio investments,MultiVAC will take part in JRR Eco Alliance like QuarkChain to achieve seamless docking of resources.
Ⅲ.MultiVAC three co-founders Frank Lyu, Shawn Ying, Claire Wang attended Hashed party in Beijing on August 20 and had a pleasant meetup with Simon Kim,the CEO of Hashed.Hashed is the most influential cryptocurrency fund in the ROK, and will help MultiVAC build our community, advance our technology, and enhance our influence across the ROK, US, and other overseas communities in the future.
IV. Development Progress
I.We are working on the Merkle-root-based File System (MFS), which is our distributed file system. We are implementing our sharded ledger on MFS.
Ⅱ.We finished the basic data structures of MFS.
Ⅲ.We are working on our consensus algorithm. It’s a binary Byzantine agreement for in-shard consensus. Our algorithm is based on VRFs (Verifiable Random Functions) and group signature. We have finished implementing our VRF.
IV.We are working on our sharded gossip protocol. We finished the protocol design for version 0.1 and started to program on our sharded p2p network.
Ⅴ.We are writing our yellowpaper to introduce more technical details.
Furthermore we published An Introduction to the MultiVAC Project and How do we select miners? — A miner selection mechanism based on Verifiable Random Function to help everyone understand MultiVAC better. We will release our yellowpaper, in-lab testing results and TPS data as soon as possible.
