I’m starting a new project, it’s called #noloafingloseit and it’s Part one of my journey to health and fitness.
I was trying on clothes in my closet and realized I don’t fit in to them as well as I once did. I got big.
Years ago I was bigger, how much bigger I don’t know because I stopped tracking when the scale hit 300lb, I know I kept getting bigger, but I didn’t want to know it.
Shortly after that I started making small changes and finally I read a couple books on the insulin hypothesis, and while I think this hypothesis has been proven to be too simplistic, it provided a framework and protocol to rapidly lose weight.
After a few false starts I was able to convince my partner that this was going to work, and once I did that, it did. I was down to about 230lb, at least 70lb lost when I switched to maintenance. That was over 5 years ago.
Over the last 3 years my life has been turned upside down. It’s been crazy and gradually I’ve gained 50lb back.
It’s time for me to apply a lot of what I’ve learned since my first loss and get back to a healthy weight, and to make things interesting I’m going to share it here.
If you’re a fan of Tim Ferris’s you know he wrote one of his books in three parts, healthy, wealthy and wise. This series will be all about my healthy journey, #noloafingmoney is my wealth journey and maybe when I’m further on these paths I will have something wise to say.
Early next week I will post my plan and starting point and will have an update every week after that.
Follow me to never miss a post. I will always post the way I reason the decisions I make. The reasoning is always more important than the decision, but if you have poor reasoning than having a correct decision is luck.
Cheers,
NL
