Happy Holidays everyone.

I hope everyone had some time to eat all the food and spend time with family. I know I had a great relaxing time off and didn't do ANY work for 2 days. But I'm back at it again today.

Another Habit

In update 5 I mentioned some new habits that I am putting into habit stacks to make my life the life I want.

Well, I have one more habit that I'm adding to this list, and its thanks to the king of lifestyle design, Tim Ferriss "Make before you manage".

To place it into my habit stack, I'm putting the making right after my moving. So before I sit down and start working I do the following: 10 kettlebell swings (move every day) and 15min creating.

Now, for me that creating can be anything from writing on this blog, developing a project for #noloafingmoney, or even a dayjob project that has some creative thinking in it.

The goal is to do something creative before I start managing my inbox, or contractors.

Seeing Results

So far I'm going in the wrong direction according to the scale, but I'm still sharpening the axe. However, its time to start chopping at that tree.

Starting next week, I'm going to be tracking what I eat again, something I did for a couple of weeks (update 2 and 3) but I've switched from MFP to Loseit. I find the website much better, even though the iOS app can be a pain in the ass. For now I'm still not working toward the macro goals that I outlined in update 3, that starts in the new year, but I want food tracking to be a habit. I'm guessing that I am going to start eating less just because I am tracking.

Tricking myself into eating less

There is one more "trick" that I'm going to do, no food unless I'm at the dining room table or eating out with other people. This means no snacking on the couch, or grabbing a burger by myself. I don't have to eat when I'm hungry, I can wait till I get home, even if its 1/2 a day away.

I don't have any travel plans in the near future, so I don't think this is going to be an issue.

I will allow myself to have a coffee or non-caloric drink at my desk. I love my diet A&W root beer.
