Weird and in a predicament

I moved into my house 4 years ago. The previous owners have been getting lots of cards recently to my address. I kept writing RTS return to sender on them. One came back and from that point I've been trowing them away. I was curious and opened one. 50 bucks was in it!!! What should I do? Keep it? I read and stated the husband died. I looked him up and died on my anniversary for buying the house weird and in a predicament.
