True enough, which is why I propose we amend the Constitution to prohibit corporate welfare.

But consider how stupid governments are for giving Walmart corporate welfare. Do you think getting rid of Walmart will make government officials smarter? Do you really want to give such dumb people more authority to regulate and manage the economy?

If they're screwing up now, how does it make more sense to give them even more responsibility?

Does the bad employee get better when promoted?
