Dear friends,

It is cold cold cold in sunny Perth. The weather has truly turned to welcome winter! Winter's not coming.. It is here!

But as they say life must go on and sat week we attended a function which is the launch of the WASBC aka. Western Australia-Singapore Business Connect Inc.

This was their inaugural launch and they held their launch event at The Melbourne Hotel in Perth CBD. Arriving to the hotel, we went up to the 1st level in which we registered and we were also given some drink coupons which we were told we could use at the rooftop bar on level 6.

The rooftop bar gave a different perspective to the city and it was nice to have a drink and enjoy the view and the company. Not too long about 30 mins later we were directed back to the 1st floor where we were seated in the ballroom and the formalities began.

It was great to see support from both Labor and Liberal party members plus other prominent members of the community. There were some big names present on the night like Singapore Airlines and HSBC Bank.

But my post today is about the food! The first picture up top was my starter - Garlic Prawns with Risotto.

The next was the mains which was Grilled Barramundi with Cabbage Mash and Seasonal Vegetables.

I mean the pictures above don't do the dish justice! It was really very well done with the meat juicy and fresh and the grilling made the skin crispy and so flavorful.

Finally for the dessert we had this type of layered pudding with different medley of flavours all combined.

Very well done and excellent all round. Here is the picture.

Doesn't it look like a smiley face? Have a great weekend!

Cheers!

Reflecting the smiley face you must have been wearing when nomming on it? XD I'm rather intrigued by the cabbage mash, how was it?

goatsig

Yes indeed! They used purple cabbage and it was really good - not like a mash potato texture but finely diced cabbage with it's natural sweetness.

Delicious...thanks
