Today we will be covering the tactical shotgun in my 2nd post of the FortNite Compared Series.

The tactical shotgun has not gone through quite as many changes as the pump shotgun has, but it has still changed a good amount. At one point it could deal 185 damage which is more than the pump does right now. Right now it is actually pretty balanced at 148 for rares.

The tactical shotgun is actually pretty nice because since you don't need a high dps weapon to switch to, freeing up a slot. However a lot of players still carry an smg or drum-gun just for breaking down enemy structures. The other advantage of the tac is that it is good for new players. It is fairly easy to hit shots with because of the large spread.

The tac is also great if you are annoyed of having to spray SMGs a lot. Some people are just fed up with the spray meta and want to use any weapon except the pump/smg, and the tac is a great alternative. To me it's range is it's biggest weakness because at a medium distance it won't do that much damage.
