You can now start using the messages that disappear in WhatsApp, although you will have to make sure that your interlocutor uses the same version of the app.
In recent months WhatsApp has been working on implementing new functions within the application. One of them was the ephemeral messages, which automatically disappeared after a while.
This feature has already reached the trial version, and we will tell you how you can activate it. Of course, as always happens in the news of the platform, you have to make sure that your interlocutor uses the same version or higher since if they could not disappear these messages.
How to activate self-destructing messages on WhatsApp
The first thing we have to do is install the beta version since that is where the amperage has started to activate the function.
We need version 2.21.21.3 that we can download from the testing phase of the app in the Google Play Store. Once we do, we follow these steps:
We open WhatsApp.
We open the Settings, clicking on the icon with the three dots in the upper right corner.
We enter Account.
Let's go to Privacy.
We select Temporary Messages.
There we can set the duration of the messages, among four options:
24 hours
7 days
90 days
Disabled.
In addition, we can change this parameter in each of the chats that we already have by entering the profile of our interlocutors.
If the function does not appear, wait a few days since the deployment is being in waves. However, in a few weeks, it should reach the stable version, which is when we can use the disappearance of messages with everyone, at least as long as the app is updated.
