What crops are grown in your region? Western Kansas is traditionally known as WHEAT country. Hard Red Winter wheat is most common. It is planted in the fall and harvest in the summer, usually around the 4th of July! Here is a road-side picture from a wheat field in Norton, KS. IMG_2209.JPG
