I love my Wheatgrass 💚

I drink it everyday :)

In fact, wheatgrass is no stranger to the alternative health scene. Passionate supporters of the natural (raw food) diet like Ann Wigmore have created whole forms of therapy against lifestyle diseases such as cancer around the green elixir.

Well-founded nutritional studies support the opinion that wheatgrass is a veritable superfood and that it is equivalent to the regular enjoyment of an alkalising fresh cell treatment. Highly rich in chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals and enzymes, a few grams of wheatgrass should overshadow the nutrient content of several kilograms of organic vegetables. To contain 100 g of wheatgrass:

  • 60 times more vitamin C than oranges
  • 50 times more vitamin E than spinach
  • 30 times more vitamin B1 than cow's milk
  • 11 times more calcium than raw milk
  • 5 times more iron than spinach
  • 5 times more magnesium than bananas

Wheatgrass - Free of gluten, rich in chlorophyll

Against the praise of wheatgrass, one could justifiably argue that the wheat grains as well as the grains of other cereals also provide many important nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and iron. The grasses, however, offer two striking arguments.

On the one hand, unlike the grains, they contain no gluten, which, as an allergen, clogs and acidifies our organism. On the other hand, they trump chlorophyll with the alkalizing "green sunlight".

Wheatgrass, with a chlorophyll content of about 10 μg / g, is one of the chlorophyll-rich plants in the world. The health benefits of this plant dye are its chemical similarity to the human red blood pigment hemoglobin.

For example, chlorophyll absorbed through food should stimulate the formation of new blood cells, promote oxygen transport to the cells, stimulate the organism to detoxify and balance the acid-base balance with its alkalizing effect.

Wheatgrass absorbs free radicals & reduces fat cells

A study with laboratory rats also showed the healing power of wheatgrass. It showed that the large number of antioxidants contained in wheatgrass can knock out free radicals. Free radicals are metabolites that are said to be involved in the development of diseases such as cancer, arteriosclerosis and rheumatism.

Two different wheatgrass extracts were used for the investigations, water-based and alcohol-based essences. Most effective against pathogens proved to be an alcohol-based extract of wheatgrass that had been grown in nutrient rich soil for 15 days.

This form of wheatgrass not only amazed the scientists with their exceptional antioxidant capabilities. At the same time a reduction of the fat cells in the liver of the experimental animals could be determined.
