Indoor Gardening Update

Greetings Steemians,

Today I worked on the garden a bit.

I decided the Jalapeno's should be transplanted to allow for proper spatial requirements. There is no question in my mind it was a proper choice, as they are getting bushy and have insane root system's.

The bean plant is starting to take off like I thought it would. I'm petty excited about it.

The Hungarian Wax peppers are still too damp and having issues. They are in a window drying out. I think they will be ok, they seem to be pretty resilient.

I cleaned the small grow space a bit and consolidated the wires as best I could. This is probably how they will stay indefinitely.

I've not decided on any new plants to add to the family because I'm not confident I'll have space for proper growth. I also raised the plants up just a little because I'm sensing they want a little more light. I feel they are at a perfect height now to grow towards the light to maturity.

That's all for now, thank you for stopping by. I hope you're all having a wonderful day!

Hi @digitalmind,
It's great to see you again! I hope you have been well! :)

Hi @futuremind, I am well, I hope you are too.
I spend most of my time in qigong practice and learning since mid 2018 until todate. Due to current crisis, I spend lesser time face to face with qigong students.

Your indoor garden is looking great. It's flowering right along with its outdoor counterparts right now! Nice beans, and good job on the transplant. Clean happy healthy garden!

Thank you @drutter,
I appreciate the compliment. I feel like it's starting to come around after working out the kinks. There were so many new things tried here for me.

It's flowering right along with its outdoor counterparts right now!

I'm not sure if that's a coincidence or not. lol
I have them on a timer for 18/6 veg cycle, just applied what I know about growing cannabis and didn't think this light cycle would produce flowering. Shows how much I know!
Probably would do me some good to look up the flowering cycles on Jalapeno plants soon. I'm not sure if they need a different light cycle but I'm gonna guess yes, and I don't want these to get too big before flowering.

PS. I saw your comment about the precious metals post. I'll be headed over shortly!

Hello ... my friend
I am glad to see you with many plants that I want to grow.
to be honest i like gardening on weekends in the middle of my house, flowers and some vegetable plants decorate the yard

Thank for this

Hello my friend.
Thank you for stopping by.

I love to be surrounded with plants and nice ladies like you. I should grow some flowers. I have a bunch of flower seeds.

Have a nice weekend @wira8788

Have you tried bottom heat for the peppers? The would dry out quickly. Or just put them on a metal tray that will heat up in the sun.

Thank you for the advice!
I have not tried these methods but I will. This coir stuff is hard to work with. It absorbs and holds water better than a sponge, and it order for water to reach the bottom, the top soil must be drenched.

I have ideas to fix it, but I'm so busy lately it's hard to find time. Your solutions seem to be quicker and easier, so I will try them.

Thank you for the help my friend.

Have you tried watering from the bottom? On a metal tray, in the sun, water from the bottom only when, and as soon as, the top feels dry. That's what i would try now. It's so much fun when you figure out what the problem was.

I'm going to have a lot of lemon cucumbers! A lot! My beans are finishing up, I get a small handful every day and it takes three days to get a good serving. My tobacco finally perked up and might even amount to something. I treated it four different ways, fretted over the measly things for MONTHS before they started to grow. Now two of the four methods have finally started to grow. swiss chard pretty much a bust. Okra to look forward too. And tomatoes, more than I can eat for sure.

I've not tried the bottom watering with this medium but I was thinking of trying it. The pan method sounds great, that will be what I try next.

I am excited to hear you did well with lemon cucumbers and beans! Sounds like the other plants are perking up nicely too, very exciting!

I hope you will make a garden post to share with us when you harvest!

Thank you for the advice :)
