WARNING: Payza is F*cking With My Account and Holding My Funds Hostage

in wheresmymoney •  7 years ago  (edited)

I have been having problems with Payza over the past couple months. I have been using them for the past year and for some reason they are giving me problems.

Previously, I have sent SBD to them but they had messed up and did not provide a memo code for the deposit. I should have known better but I thought they knew what they were doing. That problem was fixed by @changelly since Payza uses their service to convert the tokens. It wasn't even Changelly's mistake but they were the one that returned my funds so high praise to their service for doing the right thing.

You can read my previous trouble with Payza here:

Finally Got My STEEM and SBD Returned After 2 Weeks... Payza made the mistake but Changelly Made it Right.

Over $200 Worth of STEEM and SBD Lost? Payza or Changelly Needs to Pay Me Back My Funds!!!

Now I thought I would give Payza one more chance and had made a BTC deposit and that worked fine. But when I am trying to withdraw funds, they are requiring me to verify my account and upload my ID. So I did. Mind you that I was already verified when I first started using this service. So my 2nd time verifying it had gone through and was able to withdraw my funds.

I made another deposit and got the funds in my Payza account. They ask to verify again for the 3rd time and declined it. Their support sent me an email telling me to send my ID once again. Now when I log into my account, I am no longer verified and no ability to submit my ID for the verification.

I now have this to continue to the next step for verification:

verify2.jpg

After I click that, I just get this:

verify3.png

So now it seems I'm out of luck and my funds are being held hostage. It will probably take over a month for me to somehow get those funds out if I'm lucky.

At this point, I will have to take it as a loss which is no biggie but if this can happen to me, it can happen to someone else and I don't want to see anyone have to go through this type of f*ked up service. They are probably trying to take my funds.

If you are using Payza, I would recommend to get your funds out if you can and use another service. If you are considering using them, DON'T. There are other wayyy better services out there.

The only reason I was using Payza because I liked the fact they accept STEEM and SBD. I am all for supporting services that help the Steem platform grow and make it easier for users to use the Tokens.

I guess I should follow when people say "If you been burned by a service, you'll most likely get burned by them again."

Services like Payza are not making things easier for the Steem platform or other cryptos.

I found your post while researching payza. thanks for sharing your experience. What would you recommend for cashing out STEEM or SBD to a bank account in the U.S.?

I know about coinbase. I used them to buy some litecoin on December 14th and that transaction is still pending. So, I'm wondering about how fast their withdraws work now.

It's hard to say, I am looking into other services at the moment. Blocktrades seems to be a reliable service to convert STEEM/SBD to bitcoins. From there, you could use services like Bitpay, TenX, and Wirex. To deposit into your bank account, you could still use Coinbase. There are a few others that work in the U.S like Kraken exchange that will deposit to your bank account. You will just have to try to find services that can do ACH bank transfers.

What sucks for me is that Coinbase does not provide their service in my state so I busy looking for other services that do.

thanks. I hope coinbase unclogs their system soon so it's usable. I'll probably try Bitpay and see how it goes. What state are you in?

Hawaii

What's your experience like using Changelly?

I haven't really used them except for what I mentioned in this post. They refunded me when it wasn't their mistake. So they're good in my books.

Scary thanks for reminding 😕

Just been a headache and I'm done using their service. I just want my funds and move on.

Yah thats the only thing you can do.Because sometimes we cant avoid this things to happen .by the way thank you again :)

That sucks, thanks for the PSA.

Yea I am very disappointed with their service.

Never heard of payza but based on this post I will avoid

That would be my recommendation.

Thanks for the warning!

You're welcome!
