a very delicious drink to enjoy.
but very rare for Indonesia.
very hard to come by and not legalized
if caught police can be arrested and received for 3 months.

thanks for the information
greetings from me @kadafi from Aceh.Indonesia.

in Aceh...??

I had whiskey in both Bali and Surabaya, and saw in stores... maybe laws in Aceh are different...?

Yes, that is true
in aceh Islamic Sharia law is strong and the alcoholic and intoxicating goods is forbidden by the Ulama-Ulama in aceh.
If there is an excess of caning in public as much as 100 times

WHOA. 😮

Ok.

Sorry sir @rok-sivante, I hope you do not mind the video I added through this comment. Maybe this will make you more confident in what I was talking about earlier. I hope we do not think anything about Aceh. Aceh is also an exposure to foreign tourists. Hope you enjoy what I have to say. thank you...

sorry...

Aceh Islamic shari'ah state sir. I am achenese. But we respect the differences and cultures of others.

that's really a friend.
because the difference is what gave birth to diversity.
from there also we learn unity and mutual respect.
although different nationalities, different tribes, and races, which we certainly have the same degree in living life.

Quiet master @rok-sivante, you need not be surprised about this. It's not what you imagine. Yes, although I do not know what you think about their explanation of Aceh. Aceh is tolerant, sharia law is applied only to Muslims only, not to non-Muslims. You can go to Aceh to enjoy the beauty of Pulau Weh, Sabang. For culture and law we just need to adjust it, and respect what is going on in Aceh. Not so scary and scary. believe me !!!

Thanks...

Quiet???

I’m not sure if you’ve mistranslated or misstepped there, but telling me “quiet” on my blog is definitely not something you want to do again.

A penalty of 100 canines in public for choosing to consume alcohol - which can be done in nearly every other country in the world, as part of one’s basic human rights to choose how they may experience their own body - does not exactly sound like “tolerance.”

Maybe not so bad for non-Muslims. But for those who are born Muslim...?

Denied such rights of personal choice - not that bad?

And if they don’t like it, they can just leave the Islamic faith...? Not from what I’ve heard. What is the penalty for that?

Still not so bad - born into a form of slavery to a repressive belief system, denied right to personal choice, faced with threat of violence if exercising personal choice...?

I dont think so. Islam lives by its religious rules and non-Muslims live with the rules of faith. Speaking of faith? Back to the man each how far he believes with what belief he has chosen. We ? as humans can only tolerate each other, respect and honor what has been their choice. How can we understand all this, and what exactly does human rights mean? how can we interpret the meaning of this sentence? Thanks for your respon @rok-sivante

If you will ask me, I would say quality over quantity always.

But, within the first sip, was the realization that it probably actually would be preferable to spend $100 on a truly good bottle of scotch, than the same amount on three cheap ones.

Reviews on food and wines couldn't really be separated from our personal bias based on background, interest or hobby. You might as well be right, someone else might find those whiskey quintessential.

As to the whiskey itself... the tones, the aromas, the lingering flavors... I don't fucking know!

@rok-sivante the feel of this article is dam good it was your creativity of writing such interesting article made me your writing big fan :)

A good whiskey can make a whole day better. A cold quality whiskey and a cigar 💚

he he. 😎

Really love the review, so you do't get payed, so you get honest (the first one cracks me up, from the first impression to the moral of the story ) Jajajaajaja.
You got me at "Kinda like candy. But healthy candy. (In moderation.)" Jajajaja I´m definitely going to look fot that one to give it a try.
Cheers!

Sometimes a good drink is worth spending a dope cash on and here

No more cheap bottles. $50 minimum from hereon in.

Goes a long to interpret the first line on the summary, "you get what you paid for", yea! Sometimes its important to say that when i pay $50 to get a quality whiskey, i can't be compared to and second guy that will pay $25 to get one. Cash determines value.
Nice story @rok-sivante

Not my taste....but i always like whiskey bottles on the shelf, looks very nice,,,,

Hello @rok-sivante

This is quite a great lesson to all of us and applicable in every sphere of life. Because it reminds of the common programing saying...

Garbage in, garbage out

Which is exactly what you meant by...

You get what you pay for.

Experience is the best teacher and I believe you had learnt from this and moved on.

@eurogee

Ufffff I love the whiskey. Great

Right now

Whiskey is classified into a khamar drink in aceh. Here drinking khamar will be caught by sharia police and caning punishment will be applied to anyone involved with the drink, ranging from merchant to buyer. So pack a little explanation about whiskey in aceh. There is a governing law that is Qanun number 12 - 2003
minum-miras-enam-pemuda-dicambuk-240-kali-xab7OotGYK.jpg

It would be funny, if it wasn't so sad.

Lol :D

Nuts.

Crazy to think what a large amount of earth’s population has yet to realize its 2018

Yes that's of our country. Our leader focuses on enforcing Islamic Shari'ah but letting people live in poverty. In 2018 we live on average below the poverty line.

Doesn’t sound like much of a true “leader” to me. :-(

You are right sir, Most of our leaders are corrupt, I do not like them at all. :(

Understandable.

It is inspiring, however, to see such a strong Steemit community growing there. I’d imagine that many of you are being exposed to many new ideas here, and the platform may be serving to inspire new thought and a new generation of leadership which you there may influence much constructive change in your society.

Do please accept such a responsibility to use what opportunity you have to make a positive difference, in the midst of such tyranny. 🙏💖

Thank you for the suggestion. We look forward to a new leader here who understands the suffering of the people, but we will not get through democracy because prospective leaders will bribe voters with their money, our waiting revolution.

A very interesting story. A very touching story of all of us.

When we are thirsty maybe all the ways we will do in order to get the drink, but when it is gone thirst it will happen welding, how much money in a day, a week, a month or even a year I have to get out money for the drink, @rok-sivante is willing to share.

heavily drunk 😁 @rok-sivante

Looking at the picture, bottle and the overall packaging of John Barr at first glance really caught my fancy I must confess, but reading down your write-up about it made me change my mind. So I guess one does not judge a book by the cover, but by it's content. I am a fan of whiskey especially during weekends, but to be truthful I don't have a particular brand, anything that taste good is fine by me.

But there is this one I bought the other day, America honey whiskey it was really cool but a little bit expensive down here. Whisky does boost my appetite, but I guess it is not so with everybody. I have taken note of the nice one you blogged about maybe someday when I am financially strong I will get to taste it. Thanks for sharing and do have a great weekend @rok-sivante.

In Thailand we always drink Red Label, by far the WORST whiskey to party with. Ultimate hangover.

But it's cheap as shit!!! $80 for a bottle in a happening club.

Yeah, Red Label is a classic entry-level scotch anywhere.

Not that bad. Though probably definitely worth the extra bit for Black Label. (At least from the liquor store, maybe not with the inflated club prices)...

that was interesting tale of whiskey, i have fun to read it, but idon't realy get the point of the story. hehehe LOL

I’m not sure there really was a “point” to this one. Lol. :-)

It is very nice my friend...

I really hope if you can restore my rating down due to misunderstanding yesterday my friend. ...
Maybe you can help me 🙁 ...
I really hope it @rok-sivante

NO.

You’re lucky your rep score only dropped one point.

That is a very fair cost for your mistake.

Yes my friend. I can't possibly force you 🙁, this will be a lesson for me ...
Thank you my friend ...

Hopefully you're not a heavy heart once upon a time gave me my friend upvote ...
I am very fortunate to have good friends like you...

My account was hacked!!

Oh boy.

Nice job you’ve done on crafting a legitimate-looking profile to sucker people into your scam with.

May karma come back and bite you in the ass hard...

@rok-sivante, just so you, and anyone else reading, are aware, the original mrbloom got hacked, and all these comments (complete with the phishing link) are not from the real owner of the account. Please remember everyone - be careful when being asked to give your login info, and if you get hacked, check out the Steemit FAQ, under the heading of "Security" (still visible without an account) to start the account recovery process.

Oh, and - Canadian maple whiskey? That's sooooo going on my shopping list! 😊

Hey @rok-sivante
My @mrbloom account was unfortunately hacked yesterday afternoon and my rep of 55 ruined to -1...they took my SBD and tried to power down my SP which isn't a lot as I'm only a small account. Steemit has managed to get me up and running again just now, so I do apologise for the hundreds of spam comments all over the platform.
It's very annoying and frankly embarrassing, because if you look at my blog there is some good quality content which I spent hours creating, not to mention my music posts.

I have a new account thanks to @meno and my @helpie family.
Thanks again
Darren

Shite, sorry to hear.

Glad all is clear and you’re back on your feet... 💓

It's been a nightmare past 24 hours! I'm still trying to delete and edit the hundreds of spam phishing posts! I'd love to see you over on my new page sometime @darrenclaxton.
Cheers...

If I'm gonna drink alcohol, it's gonna be tequila, if I was to buy a bottle it'd be this one, but I'm sure there is better...

Sadly, whiskey was ruined for me in my younger years, too many times throwing up I suppose haha

Ooh, that bottle is dope! 😎

Ya, that glass-work is sweet, tequila matches if I remember

Sadly, I'm not a whiskey drinker anymore, but you hooked me with the mention of 7th Heaven. I lived in Whistler for 4 years, vollied for events, and basically lived to ride my snowboard. Good times. Carve a few turns for me, will you please?

Haha.

Nice. Shall do... :-)
