2018 is a very special year for Douglas Laing. Why? It celebrates its 70th anniversary!
The company was established in 1948, it is a family business (2nd and 3rd generation now) and one of the famous independent bottlers in the world. For many years Douglas Laing company was selecting fine and, what's is even more important, old and rare casks for their collection.
And to celebrate its 70th jubilee in 2018, the company selected four extraordinary whiskies that to be releases during the year.
The first one is already here, please meet, Ardbeg Platinum XOP by Douglas Laing.

Ardbeg 25 YO, 50,5%
Single refill hogshead cask
Distilled in October 1992
Bottled in February 2018
Limited to 251 bottles
This beast was bottled at cask strength and without colouring or chill-filtration.
The specialist packaging has been chosen to reflect both the rarity and age of the spirit, whilst each and every label is hand signed and individually numbered by Fred and Cara.
Seems to be a pretty good one, what do you think?
