I thought I was feeling tired and getting a headache from binge canning...but then Nyai came back from a bike ride coughing, and RC messaged me to ask where all the smoke was coming from (because she is severely asthmatic)
There is so much smoke outdoors! The fires are not near us, they are in Utah, Washington, Wyoming...but wow. We are glad Nyai fixed the AC last week, so now we have everything closed down and the AC on to filter it some.

Beautiful area you live in @elew and I see you got some nice rocks in the
last picture. So much bad stuff in the smoke all the plastics, tires and other toxic
things nowadays. Sure hope everything calms down, fires, storms and flares,.

I am hoping the 2 nuke plants in FL make it through. Turkey Point is old and has problems all he time. All of them are old, and all should be decommissioned.

We had to reroute our entire roadtrip around the wildfires. You couldn't see huge mountains 5 miles away at my cousin's place 40 miles north of Missoula, Montana! Devastating. Glacier National Park had just caught fire when we headed west to Utah for the remainder of our vacation.

Oh nooo, I hope the bears make it out okay! We used to live up there, but in Flathead, and then up in Whitefish for a few months... It was bad even with the wood stoves in the winter, but it must be super bad right now..

I agree about the bears and other wildlife. They have it the worst for habitat destruction.
I really enjoyed being in Flathead Nation. We spent a whole day in Ninepipes Museum.
