Steemit is a place for me to show case my work and see what is valued within it. I like to find low key profiles with good, original contents who are relatively unrecognized. Following like-minded individuals who are also looking to hone their skill, it will motivate me to work harder as well.
In a sense, it's also a port folio where I could review my progress, see how far I've come within a year time span. If I compare my progress against someone else, I would be able to see what area I need improvement.
Steemit to me is a convenient blog where I could brag when I want to and save what I need to. I could see how much value of my work is put into a monetary amount. The block chain idea certainly has its allure as well and I want to try something that hasn't been done before. By using Steemit, I feel like I'm contributing to a new concept and helping it mature.
