Started this batch last spring and finally got it into bottles. My first time bottling!
It came out smooth and rather tasty.
There used to be 6 bottles. These ones are christmas gifts!
Honestly it was a happy mistake! I had some dandelion honey and I spaced and thought it was normal honey so made 1 gallon of plain mead and a gallon of cherry mead then mixed them later right before bottling. It came out with a nice fruity flavor with some strong nuttyness at the end from the dandelion.
I was thinking that myself! The hardest part of doing this is getting dandelion flowers for the dandelion honey so im gonna have to wait till spring to do the next batch. I can do a post for a more simple recipie soon though
Very nice color, dandelion is an interesting flavor choice.
