wine review Altano Douro

Today at lunch I had a glass of Portuguese white wine from the Altano brand from the SYmington family group (which also owns quite a few Port brands)

I was amazed at the amount of different grape varieties in the wine: Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Arinto, Gouveio, Rabigato and Moscatel Galego Branco.

It resulted in a fresh and crisp whine which complimented the breaded haddock fillets with lime mayo, Leek purée and salad it was served with. A good somewhat ligher lunch after yesterdays dinner.

Good wine, I've had Red Altano's in the past as well, usually a good buy for your money.

Cheers!
