Woke Up to Surprise Snowfall

When I woke up this morning and looked out the window, to my surprise it was snowing. Snow was not in the weather forecast. It was just enough snow where I had to shovel the driveway and clean off the cars. It was not enough snow for the snowblower. I looked at the weather forecast again before shoveling to make sure there was not going to be more snow even though it was wrong before. There is a long winter ahead so hopefully there will not be too much snow:)

This is the driveway after I shoveled. There was about one inch of snow. After the road was salted, it was clear.

The backyard is covered in snow. It looks like there is more snow than there really is.

My flowerbed where I grow flowers and herbs is covered in snow.

This is one of my birdhouses. It must be too cold for the birds because there are none around. It does get very windy and I can hear the wind chimes.

There are still black walnuts on the walnut tree. All of them do not seem to fall off.

The snow is very nice but I am still looking forward to Spring:) Have a wonderful day!

I love snow too except for the shoveling! It is winter here for sure:) Does it snow a lot where you are from?

It is rare to snow. Maybe every three years ...

The snow is beautiful! I did not mind shoveling since there was only about one inch of light snow. Usually there is a lot more snow but not lately:) keep warm too!
