It is probably the worst winter since 2010.
Before I went to Sweden in 2010, I thought I could easily overcome the difficult time caused by the hardish nordic winter. But I was so wrong. I mean, it was joyfully beautiful especially for people from a sub-tropical island like me. But then it got really crazy when snow and darkness hovered for months!
10 years later, we had this 2020. I am now based in Frankfurt, Germany. I never think at all that there would be another winter harsher than that in 2010. The stupid pandemic issue simply makes my Ph.D. life even more isolated. As a socially awkward person, this is the first time that I wish I could have a real-life meeting and small talk with acquaintances from other research teams...
I really hope the covid-19 disaster could come to an end soon...
BTW, after all the shit ends, are we going to hold "Some government" accountable? By "Some government", I refer to the one which is bullying not only its neighbor countries but also probably the whole world. If we don't want to totally wipe out neoliberal capitalism, then perhaps we should ask ourselves this question: do we really want a super totalitarian, untrustworthy regime playing a significant part in this game?
