The bible gives us a famous phrase of wisdom: wisdom is better than strength. Eccesiastes 9:16. The word "wisdom" can be understood as knowledge or ingenious intelligence.
The wisdom provides us with a deep knowledge of things, since it is not opinion but knowledge. The wisdom is the science of the truth, the substance, the first and last causes.
The wisdom and its practical application is esencial for solving problems. We say that a doctor was wise in medicine when the doctor applied his science correctly.
Correctly applied wisdom can allow us to see a problema from different facets or sides and apply creative solutions.
This is why wisdom in complex situations is more important than strength and gold. Jesus explain to us that wisdom is a hidden treasure:
"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field." Matthew 13:44
The wisdom is eternal and uncreated, wisdom is an entity that cannot be perceived with the physical senses but with intelligence: "Very, truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again" John 3:3.
Its understanding, apprehension is essential to interpret the flow of the things. The bible tells us about the third eye, the eye of the mind, like that ability to perceive the hidden wisdom: "Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness", Luke 11:34
We also say that he who has no wisdom in the face of problems is blind: "Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit", Matthew 15:14.
The bible with its numerous examples explains that wisdom is the most effective tool for solving problems. Wisdom is better than stength, a practical example of this teaching is the wisdom of David against the strength of Goliath.
David in a difficult situation, stands firm, finds the weak point of Goliath and there with the throw of a stone, he is precise and accurate, and thus defeat Goliath. 1 Samuel 17. The wisdom of David, is precise and accurate, is also firmness and creativity. Wisdom is better than gold, strength and money; wisdom is life.
