The wisdom is progressive: Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array

Genesis tells us the story of the creation of the world according to the Bible. According to the sacred texts God created everything in six days and the seventh rest:
On the first day, God created the light: "And God said, ´Let there be light,´ and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light ´day,´ and the darkness he called ´night.´", Genesis 1:3-5.
On the second day, God created the sky: "And God said, ´Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.´ So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault ´sky.´"Genesis 1:6-8.
On the third day, God created the mainland and the vegetable kingdom: "And God said, ´Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.´ And it was so. God called the dry ground ´land´, and the gathered waters he called ´seas.´ And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, ´Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.´" Genesis 1:9-11.
On the fourth day, God created the moon and the sun: "God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars", Genesis 1:16.
On the fifth day, God created sea creatures and birds: ´Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.´ Genesis 1:20.
On the sixth day, God created the terrestrial animals and man: "God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, ´Let us make mankind in our imagen, in our likeness´", Genesis 1:25-26.
The seven days of creation are actually a metaphor. The seven days can mean seven periods.
Genesis is explaining to us that God is the only wise, "To the only wise God our Saviour", Jude 1:25; and that God in his wisdom is incremental, progressive, expansive; God works from the simplest things to the most complex. Living with wisdom implies understanding that we cannot expect immediate or instantaneous results, wisdom needs time to bear fruit, like a tree that grows. God needed seven times to create everything: "Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array", Genesis 2:1.
The processes of change that imply growth, evolution and improvement, as such, are always progressive. Work on the small things first and then look for the big ones. When we want to do great things we must understand that the basis is in the simplest things of every day. If we neglect the small, we will fail in the big one.
