Here's "the thing" about people with good hearts.
They make excuses FOR you... When you never bothered to explain yourself.
They accept apologies... That you never gave.
They see the best in you... When you never asked them to.
When you're at your worst - they lift you up, even though it means putting THEIR priorities aside.
They MAKE time for you... Though you don't make any for THEM.
And you wonder why they are so "sensitive".... How they are the most caring people that give so much of themselves without expecting anything in return. How their existence is so essential to YOUR well-being.
It's because they don't make you WORK for the attention they give you. They accept the love they think they've earned, while you take the love you think you're entitled to.
FEAR the day when a good heart gives up on you. Skies don't turn gray for no reason. Day doesn't turn to night for no reason. Nor does a good heart turn "cold" unless it's been treated coldly for far too long.
