Crafty Fridays - A Spell Jar to Help Boost Energy

Better late than never, right? So I usually melt my wax in glass containers over a candle warmer. I set my thing up yesterday morning and left it to do what it does, but at some point during the day my candle warmer broke! I had to improvise with a microwave, but by the time I got it done it was so late I had to be going to bed so there was no time to let the wax cool entirely for the picture. So here's a late Crafty Friday post XD

There are days when energy levels are low, we all have them. This spell jar is designed to help with that by drawing in energy and allowing you to siphon some out of the jar for yourself when you need it.

This jar contains the following;

  • Dragon's Blood - I consider this to be a powerful banishing ingredient, with the intent here being to banish any bad energy that may be drawn in to the jar.

  • Coffee Grounds - You drink coffee to help you wake up and get energy, so the grounds can be used for similar effect in many spell jars including this one.

  • Mint - Same thing as the coffee grounds, many people drink mint or peppermint tea to wake up if they don't drink coffee so it helps represent the idea of wanting and needing more energy.

  • Oregano - For me oregano represents calmness, and that's something you want in this jar. You need the energy, but you don't want to get jittery off it either. It's for more of a calm energy, just as much as you need without overwhelming you kind of thing.

  • Parsley - An herb that commonly represents strength, and so is perfect for this jar because strength is often interchangeable with energy on a very base level.

  • Sage - Many people burn this and use the smoke for purification, so it's kind of like the dragon's blood for this jar. It helps purify the energy drawn in so it can be of more use to you.

  • Allspice - Represents determination and energy to help you just get stuff done!

  • Frankincense - Another representation of purification, just an added level on top of the sage.

  • Red Pepper Flakes - Any kind of pepper or spice often represents energy and a sort of kick in the pants or lighting a fire under your butt to get things done. That's why it tops off this jar; to remind you to use the extra energy it gives you responsibly instead of procrastinating!

I topped it off with orange because I associate orange with getting things done and extra energy, but red or yellow would probably also work too.

It's an easy jar, and the hardest ingredients to get would probably be the dragon's blood and frankincense because you can't exactly pick those up at the grocery store. But if grocery store herbs are all you have to go on you can omit those and the easiest way to get mint is mint or peppermint tea bags. If you want to drink it first all you have to do is save the bags afterwards until they dry and then cut them open and use the remains. Same goes for the coffee - all coffee grounds in any of my jars are used, dried, and stored for later use.

When it comes to sage, please do not use white sage. It is an endangered species in many places due to over-harvesting for metaphysical uses. Culinary or garden sage works 100% the same way, will cost you a fraction of the money, and there's an abundance of it due to so much being produced for culinary use. What's in this jar is literally just culinary sage, I use the exact same stuff to cook with. Please be responsible with your sage!
