Witchcraft Wednesdays - Spell Jars and Sachets

So if you've been following me for any length of time, you know on Crafty Fridays I post spell jars sometimes. I don't do much in the way of sachets, I prefer jars for the aesthetic, but they function in the same way.

There are many ways to make such spells, however, if jars and sachets aren't your thing. I've heard great ideas ranging from using coffee filters to envelopes if you don't have easy access to fabric for sachets or are low on space and can't afford to have the jars all over the place. You can even make your own paper or tin foil envelopes with some great online tutorials all around the web!

The rest is up to the individual witch. What you put inside of them is up to you, many choose herbs and crystals but you can use things as cheap and mundane as glitter and beads too. I actually prefer herbs because I have a good source for them over at Montery Bay Spice Company where you can get both regular and organic stuff. Shipping can be a bit pricey, but that's just the post office for you when you're buying like 20 pounds worth of stuff.

But the end result is the same. The witch infuses the ingredients with their will, giving or activating powers as everything is mixed together for whatever purpose the spell is made to carry out.

So no matter how you do your spells - in glass jars, or sachets made of coffee filters or cloth, or envelopes of paper or tin foil - if your ingredients are herbs or crystals or cheap craft beads - it's all the same. Love it, embrace it, and keep doing that witchy thing you do <3
