What Exactly Does The "Steemgigs" Witness Represent & Its Recent Efforts On Steemit, The Philippines & Developing Nations!

Well, today i had to remember the "steemgigs" witness. I didn't know that time flew so fast and its server was due for payment, meaning it had to be renewed. 

Glad to know, there is a buffer and @privex doesn't suspend servers once due. I had enough time thus, to renew the server and witness "steemgigs" stays up and running!

"No blocks missed" but the "steemgigs" witness prides itself more, with its efforts in applying "steemit", in accomplishing real world change. "This is very possible!"

"Steemgigs" witness has done some awesome things in the past days, from supporting steemit growth in developing countries, to strengthening the existing steemit community. 

Strengthening our existing community is a core aspect of steemit growth. 

To go all out, in inviting new people to steemit, you have to be sure you can bring them to a home!

Thus, "steemgigs" witness has worked relentlessly to stir unity, love, sharing etc both by means of the DM chats, physical presence at steemit events and intensive curation efforts filled with loving, upbuilding comments. 

There have also been several steemit posts done, targeted at stirring unity, love and empowerment. 

More recently, "steemgigs" witness started to focus on "steemit growth in the Philippines"! 

Empowered by @ned (through steem power delegation to @surpassinggoogle), we have been able to intensify community efforts here on steemit and by this means, we have also flourished outside steemit; reminding the world of non-steemians to join us on steemit, for "steemit is beautiful".

By means of curation efforts, we have been able to support several steemit meetup/sign-up events around the Philippines and even been able to impact steemit events outside of the Philippines. 

Most recent effort outside the Philippines, involved a yearly software development hackathon hosted by @brindocorp, involving a number tech startups. "steemgigs" witness was able to represent steemit in terms of funding, to enable steemit.com to be co-sponsors of the event. 

@surpassinggoogle was able to appear in a video call, to infuse a steemit agenda into their event and @steem-lagos was sent to the venue, to give a talk. Leading to a potential entry into steemit of 6 tech startups EatDrinkLagos Lara.ng  Kudi.ai @elisdotai @coursesdotai @amarya, with the latter 3 sign up already and waiting account approval. Several of the individual participants from ISDEV 2017 have also signed up but are awaiting account approval as well.

"steemgigs" witness also recently had presence in the University of Baguio to promote steemit there and we have been able to work with many steemians, who play a role of promoting steemit in their communities. 

@steemgigs' most recent effort in discussing steemit with real estate workers. We took their fliers and offered steemit gift cards to them in return and used the moment to preach steemit.

New partnerships with community leaders around the Philippines are in the making, to bring these leaders and their communities on steemit. This has included Red Cross Philippines by virtue of the connections of @steemph and sporting organizations based in the Philippines.

Overall though, a lot of this effort stems from the inside and a deeply-rooted, solidly loving steemit community! Thus, we are accomplishing "steemit growth" inside out!

We believe that everyone promotes steemit (every tiny reputable thing you do within the steemit ecosystem promotes steemit directly or indirectly). 

So our curation effort has involved a lot of comments, to empower Philippines-based authors into making #philippines one of the most visited tags on steemit, for the wealth of knowledge that it holds. 

"Every effort of the "steemgigs" witness is a combined effort of the entire steemit community".

We have been able to spread love all around steemit by means of intensive curation efforts and comment. In the first 15 days of @ned's steem delegation @surpassinggoogle has been able to spread votes to 670 unique authors and 14k in terms of rewards and a ton of other steemians and supporters of the "steemgigs" witness have done similarly.

@donkeypong @hanshotfirst @acidyo @jrcornel have taken it upon themselves behind the scenes, to train curators to be loving and empowering, which translates into a more vibrant home on steemit and more overall attraction to steemit.

This stirs unity, excitement and ofcourse more content in the search engines both in English and Filipino to create more awareness to steemit in the search engines.

"steemgigs" witness has also paid attention to specific talents hailing from the Philippines and steemit in general and introduced them to #steemgigs.

We don't believe #philippines should grow into isolation, so our curation efforts involves the entire steemit ecosystem.

More things in the pipeline over the course of the coming weeks. We believe in innovation and welcome it, thus, the name "@steemgigs" and the #steemgigs, to admonish steemians to try new things and try even newer ways to explore the steem blockchain. 

A step in this direction can involve joining in, and creating your first SteemGig or joining IDEA Factory on the steemgigs community.
