Some of the problems I see with the witness system.

Rewards for the top 19 are very high which contributes to the current inequality of SP distribution.

Witness list can be controlled by a few large holders, 99% of user's vote are insignificant.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
