If you don't listen to/read John McWhorter or Coleman Hughes, you should.

Well, Hughes made a great point about Robin DiAngelo, who has become a best selling author and a very rich (white) woman due to her diversity counselling, her teaching of "anti-racism", and her accidentally racist book White Fragility.

DiAngelo maintains that white people shouldn't cry in front of black people. Her reasoning comes from a few angles; but, she gives the example of a white woman crying being trigging to black people due to the history of white women lying about being raped by black people during Jim Crow.

Hughes kinda hit the nail on the head by pointing out that part of being an adult is learning to control your emotions for the sake of children. If you have to tell your kid that you need to put the dog down, it's on you to be strong for the kid. That's not to say that adults can't show vulnerability; but, it's generally an expectation that an adult will show control for the sake of children.

So, DiAngelo is a fucking a racist. She's saying that white people should behave like adults because we need to treat black people like children.

This is what passes for anti-racism in the academy these days. People are taking this manic seriously.
