Women speak up

Women, speak up.. oppose.. endorse
Stab us with the truth, awaken us
Maybe you're no better than us
But you surely are no worse

I have a message I'd like to send
To those who think or pretend
That no matter what we spend
This injustice can't be mend

Oh we can change it if we just try
To respond to every single cry
That speaks the truth and calls for faireness,
If we just invest in our awareness

If we learn that all we have
When we're born is mothers love.

I'm actually in the 100 days steemit school poetry challenge. So I guess whenever I'd want to post about something, I'll have to write a poem about it.

Todays is the International Womans Day so that's what today's poem is about. Actually I only knew it's womans day this afternoon so I wasn't sure I'll get inspired enough to write this poem, but then I saw @beanz 's challenge and I got motivated ;)

The challenge has only one rule. Take one of these titles to make a post:

• Self esteem and Media Objectification.
• How I embrace womanhood / What it means to me to be a woman
• Women in my life and how they inspire me.
• The power of little girls.
• Why feminism is important to me and what I hope to achieve from taking part in the conversation.

And somehow I managed to break that one and only rule 😎 because it's more fun when it's for fun 😉
