Sex therapist Vanessa Marin thinks that it’s also a matter of the abundance of porn that we have, and the fact we can really be kids in the sexual candy story when it comes to porn. She says ‘I think people are getting more experimental with their porn usage. People are feeling a greater permissiveness in gender and sexual expression, and that’s being reflected in our porn consumption.’ As well as this, she very rightly makes the connection between this and men watching lesbian pornography. And what connection would that be? ‘We’re getting curious about and watching different types of porn. At the end of the day, watching people have sex on film is hot! Does it really matter what their genders or sexual orientations are.
