Timberframe Greenhouse Build - Part 1

After prepping the site, culling and milling the trees I'm ready now to cut the 6 x 6 timbers into joinery sections. The whole greenhouse build took 1.5 weeks but it was go, go, go.

In the video below, you will see how I use Google sketchup to design and then cut each piece of the timberframe. I got some cool tools which my wife agreed I could buy because of course, it's for her greenhouse. :-)

I hope you enjoy, and please leave a comment.

Excellent work, I cannot fault it. I have done some oak timber frames in the past. I like your new toys they are awesome.
Well presented post as well, you will soon have a large following.

Thank you! Next time I will add some more 'toy' photos :-)

Love the chain mortiser, looking forward to learning some more as I've never timber framed anything.

It's a sweet unit. Timberframing for me was a challenge, but an enjoyable one. Once sketchup was completed I could print out each piece size and where the joints needed to go and it was like creating a puzzle that would eventually fit together.
