Older Craftsman Plane

Here's a few walnut and maple shavings for @skycranehandworks . I'm fairly new and still learning, but I did restore this old plane. Now if I can learn to sharpen it properly.

That's always fun, the two colored shavings. If you do not have wetstones, you can get a fine edge with a dremel.

Thanks for the advice, I now have wetstones, I believe I'm in to big a hurry. Patience is one my character flaws I'm working on daily.

I hear ya. I don't want to sound like a jerk lecturing about stuff you already know, but, here goes. Be sure your stones are flat, then just hone a microbevel and a back bevel and it will go fast.

gotta love the old hand tools....... still looking for a spokeshave.....
