Hi DTube woodwork Fans,
In part five I am showing you and describing the main joints that I have utilised in this job.
These are mortise and tenons, which are the most useful of joints and a staple of any carpentry/cabinet making.
Also the mighty dovetail joint which is one of the finest joints to master.
I describe how I have made the paneled drawer fronts using the mortise and tenons, this construction includes a traditional framed panel where the panel 'floats' within a groove.
I then go on to detail how a traditional drawer is made, This is very important in fine furniture.
If you ever want to check the quality of any piece of furniture, it will be evident by looking at the drawers.
These two joints are very versatile and you could virtually make anything using them.
In the next part I will finally be on site and fingers crossed my measurements are correct.
I highly recommend that you make DTube videos to show us any woodworking projects you are working on.
If you have any technical questions give me a shout on the woodworking discord channel.

Maybe I missed it in an earlier video, but, are you going to veneer the drawer front? Screw on a solid panel?

I am screwing on a solid framed panel to the drawer itself. I want everything to look like solid panelling when it is all installed
