Leafy Seadragon — Design for a Shoji Screen, Part 10; Leveling the Feet

Before I connect the three panels with hinges, I need to even up the feet so they are all the same height.

Here I have scribed a line across all three feet for my saw cut.

If you read my recent post about hand planes, you might get what I am doing here. I have rigged up a shooting board to square off the ends of the wood.

After that I added a little embellishment.

If I did it right, the bottom of the feet will be perfectly flat.

Now I can start prepping for finish.
