IF TREES COULKD TALK

Hello, my name is Ms. Sugar Maple and I have been around for many years. Well, after living alongside my hubby for over 85 years we finally ended up lying face down in the forest. What would become of us. So many of our neighbors had gone up in smoke. Would this be our demise?

Hello there, Mr Sugar Maple here. Single again after so many years, feels strange. We have been joined for so long, face to face. As you can see, I have not aged as well as my beautiful wife. I should not tell you this, but she still gives me a woody.
It is probably my fault we are face down in this thicked of Wild Roses. I have not lived such a pristine life. You know, hanging out with fungus, slugs, bugs, catipillars, and other creatures of the night.

Hello, I was part of this colorful Sugar Maple. I just lived up the trunk about 20 feet. I have not been my self for many years thanks to that dam Downy Woodpecker. What a bully! I am a little camera shy, my face is scared because of that pecker head. Sorry for the language. They made me turn around for the next mug shot. If you didn't guess I'am the guy on the right.

Well, some stories have a swell ending and ours could not have worked out any better. This guy, I think he goes by the name @thebigsweed finds us lying there like a bump on the log. Low and behold he makes a little cut here and a little cut there and throws us in his wagon. We end up spending the next two years drying out and hanging out. Boy did he spoil us! The next thing you know he has us on stage and starts taking our picture. All the time he is doing this, he is putting us together like some sort of puzzle. We thought he had finally lost it. Boy does this guy like to talk to himself, there was not another person in the room. We all heard him say somehting like "Ya that will work, should make a pretty nice coffee table. The Big Sweed also said something about us being around for another 100 years or so.

Ha there old boy, glad to see you made it. I don't want to make you feel bad, but your not looking to good. Thanks for the compliment old friend, but wait until I tell you what I heard The Big Sweed say. I heard it as clear as day. Boy did you ever notice how this guy likes to talk to himself? First of all, the reason we all didn't go up in smoke is because were not tens. I heard him say that people these days like the flaws. It gives us character. So how do you like those apples. By the way how is Ms Apple doing? How the heck would I know I've been out of the picture for years. Supposedly he is going to give us all a face lift. You know get rid of some of the wrinkles and polish us up.

The best part for me is that I will be resting on top of you and the misses. The Big Sweed must have flipped me over 10 times. Guess he couldn't make up his mind, live edge up or live edge down. I think live edge up, it makes me look a little thinner. Hold your horses there Red Oak Sr., You know as well as I do that you're the light weight here. My Janka Hardness is 1450 lbs. and my Crushing Strenght is 7830lbs/in.sq. Yours Janka Strength is only1220 lbs and your Crushing strength is a wimpy 6780lbs/in.sq. On top of that, I heard that you don't handle moisture too good and that is why he has got to cover you up with an epoxy.

Who the heck cares. We are all pretty lucky. We are all going to be around for a long time. See you all later when The Big Sweed reunites us once again. I hear we will be a one of a kind coffee table.
