Remnant of Hope
Today, as every morning, when leaving home and facing the reality of living on this soil that once flourished and was green, for itself and also for other nations, I realized that everything was intact in relation to the day previous. That nothing has changed, that rather the panorama continues to darken before our eyes.
I went through the same customary path, and in my step I saw the same lines, the emptiness of school-age children who live losing class days because they do not have food. Absolutely everything seemed like living a bad dream that was "in crescendo", with the intention of becoming increasingly intimidating.
I almost fall into the desperation of thinking "I'm leaving here" . This alternative to many of my countrymen has seemed the only way out of the situation. I do not judge them! I'm not the one to do it! But yes, when reflecting on this "Country" issue, I had a dream while awake.
I dreamed that our reality changed, that my country has in its interior a remnant that still has hopes for change. Remnant, that being a small minority still smiles and inspires life in its path. In my dream I told myself among this beautiful population, that being a girl preserves the strength and courage necessary to get ahead, both individually and collectively. What a beautiful thing to think about being a people who are carriers of hope!
Remnant that provides solutions
When I realized that my dream, thought, or whatever you want to catalog the epiphany that invaded me, I refused to limit myself to the ethereal world of just thinking. Nor did I find it very useful to just refer to words in my task of bringing hope. Rather, I thought it propitious to put action on my ideas.
How about, "I said to me", if those of us who still have faith, hope and love for our soil that saw us be born, we join forces and act with everything that is within our reach ?. I thought for example:
1. A remnant of hope will be distinguished among the crowd by proposing a dialectic that emanates solutions to the generalized crisis. That our children eat, our elderly are healthy, that schools and hospitals are equipped with what is necessary for their vital functioning, among others.
2. A remnant of hope changes the plaintive speech to a more optimistic one, as well as a real one. The idea is to dream with your feet firmly on the ground. Hope goes hand in hand with good sense. Although we are a minority, those of us who believe that there can be a change for the good in this noble nation, as well as being convinced of this, we must be agents who bring the idea with enthusiasm to every citizen.
3. A remnant of hope creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm in its path. Even being a minority, when the good people go out to the ring, a whole nation is contagious. It is more productive to do ant work (little by little but constant), than a massive protest that does not reflect fruit in time.
And, I have thought, in addition, that many detractors will want to hinder the path of this remnant of hope, however, when the vision is clear, the step must be firm and forward.
Be a minority today
In general, belonging to the majority is simpler. But for those of us who dream of a better world, identifying ourselves with a minority that pursues worthy purposes is not a matter of concern. To be numbered among a remnant that transmits hope is an invaluable honor.
There is no merit in swimming in favor of the current. This will take you without you making any effort. Rather, try to reach your goal no matter that most do not think like you.
