Okay so I am tasked with a team of developers to help customize a site. I am new to customizing WordPress, I’ve learned that the codex’s are my new bibles. For the last 3 weeks I found myself lost in the entire large directory and didn’t know how actions, hooks, and filters worked. I’ve never been faced with them before. So I was thrown into a position where I am expected to dynamically change elements and attributes on the site. I am now under the pressure to complete my tasks with a very short time period. So far I understand the relationships between all three functions. Because this project was already developed I’m having to understand where files and functions are pointing to and have had to learn plugins and other third party applications like Node.js, larevell, yarn, trello, digital ocean and other applications as fast as possible. I hope I can see through this large project till the end, but if I don’t I have learned a whole heck of a lot of programming in the last three weeks.
