This past year has once again delivered some new words. I want to share some of them with you. It is a random list with very little regard for cool.
Ghost
To abruptly cut off all contact with (someone, such as a former romantic partner) by no longer accepting or responding to phone calls, instant messages, etc.
Word salad
A string of empty, incoherent, unintelligible, or nonsensical words or comments.
Throw shade
To express contempt or disrespect for someone publicly, especially by subtle or indirect insults or criticisms.
Facepalm
To cover one’s face with the hand as an expression of embarrassment, dismay, or exasperation.
Froyo
A term used to describe frozen yoghurt. Often used before another noun - a froyoshop, froyo flavours.
Photobomb
To move into the frame of a photograph as it is being taken as a joke or prank.
The only one of these that I have used is photobomb.
