A glimpse of #50gigs

I'm thinking about the next year and how I want to work differently.

I'm a facilitator, I help people get together to talk about and work on the things that they find important, whatever that is. I enjoy the variety and diversity of the work that I do. And last year I didn't do enough of it.

I'm thinking of giving myself a #50gigs challenge. To fill up and maintain my "pipeline" with 50 facilitation gigs so that I'm back to working on average once a week (I can do two in a week and there'll be weeks I can't do any or nobody wants any). It's the sort of goal that I've missed having.

It gives a lot more focus to sales and marketing than I've had of late, where I've just pretty much waited for new stuff to find me and old friends to keep coming up with new opportunities. And it will leave time for the writing, thinking, consulting, walking in the woods that I'm doing now.

So that'll be fun :)

Without thinking about it at all, I've already got three(!) - @steemcampuk in April , the Open University unconference I did last year is coming back for more in June and I've said I'll do a crypto/blockchain unconference for grown-ups in October. Now I just need another forty-seven to fill in the gaps - yay!

There's a lot of talking and listening and working through stuff that needs to be done and that's what I help happen best.

I'd welcome a chat and some collaboration on using Open Space Technology in a virtual setting and learning more about your facilitation work.

thanks John, I'd like that. Let's find a time to talk. Which time zone are you in?
