A fellow translator here, hi! I can definitely agree on these points – it can be great to have the freedom to choose when (and where!) to work, but also quite a bother trying to meet some impossible deadlines. I've been lucky enough to find translation agencies that understand my situation as well, so usually it's pretty easy to negociate.
